I'm Beth. My quizzes are eclectic - I like things all over the board, and try to lace a generous portion of my questions with enough clues so that teams can make a worthy guess. I write questions about movies, books, language and word derivations, TV, geography, sports and trends in general. I'm also a baseball nerd, so I generally include a baseball question.
Sample Questions:
1. The sections of what nonfiction book, which was first published in the United States in 1952 and has never gone out of print, frequently begin with the words "Dear Kitty"?
2. Who is the only guy to win the Heisman Trophy twice? He won it in consecutive years.
3. What medical term comes from the Latin word for the number forty?
4. Who were the first brothers to be nominated for acting Oscars? [Hint: NOT the Barrymores.]
5. What was the largest city in the Confederacy?
6. What are the three most common surnames in Ireland?
7. In 2002 Liverpool's Speke Airport was renamed Liverpool John Lennon Airport. What is the airport's 4-word motto, which was taken directly from a John Lennon work, and is included along with Lennon's self-portrait in the airport's logo?
